Lighthouse Academy was founded in 2022. Lighthouse Academy is passionate about bringing hope to its pupils. The first phase of our growth was to establish an Early Childhood Development Centre that offers a safe environment within which learning and development flourish. In 2025 we began our primary school phase with our first Grade 1 class. We are aiming to be a full pre- and primary school, offering Grade RRR – Grade 7 by 2031.
As the parents of our pupils are only asked to cover 20% of our operational costs we seek to fund the balance with donations. To see how you can help us make these plans a reality click here.
Milestones
2022
Lighthouse Academy opened its doors to its first class, making use of an existing house on Lochland Farm.
Over the course of 2022 we refurbished an old shed on Lochland Farm to accommodate our second intake of pupils. To find out how you can help us to equip our new campus, click here
2025
In 2025, Lighthouse Academy opened its first primary school class. Our learners wore the first Lighthouse Academy school uniform and hosted our first rugby and netball matches.
2026
In 2026 we have 97 pupils and offer Grade RRR – Grade 2. We are looking to purchase and develop our new primary school campus.
